Q: How will the event benefit Morecambe’s wider community?

The event is funded with economic recovery money following the Covid-19 pandemic, and is designed to boost the local economy by bringing local and visitors into the town during the traditional quiet season and providing opportunities for you not only to see some great art, but to enjoy a whole day or more in Morecambe, shopping, visiting tourist attractions like The Winter Gardens, having a family meal at one of the local restaurants, enjoying the amusement arcades and lots more to put a boost back in the local economy.

Q: How has this been funded, who are the sponsors?

Morecambe Sparkle CIC were granted money from the Lancashire Economic Recovery Growth fund by Lancashire County Council to run the event for two years in the first instance. The festival also received funds from Morecambe Town Council and Morecambe BID. It is also supported by Lancaster City Council.

Q: Can I buy food and beverages at the event?

Yes! We are liaising with lots of local businesses to remain open into the evening, where you can enjoy food and drink, we will even have some local food traders pitched at some of the sites along the trail.

Q: Where can I park if I bring my car?

Morecambe is easily accessible by car via the Bay Gateway connection from the M6. City Council car parks are available at various points along the seafront. Please note that some of the seafront car park areas will be closed for security and safety issues.
