We are very happy to welcome you to Baylight ’23 and our Friday Night Prom Light event. We will be holding our parade on Friday 17th February. This is a chance for local groups and people that have taken part in our workshops to come along and join in the parade which will be led by Baybeat from More Music. The parade will begin at the start of our trail by the sailing club and wander down to the Midland area where Samba Espirito will be waiting to take up their sticks and show off their skills with the drumming set. Once this has finished we would like to invite participants and public to enjoy the installations on display along the prom.

Timings:

• 5:30pm collect lanterns from Winter Gardens.
• 5.45pm Public and Performers arrival to Muster Area Mountain Landscape. The parade will be led by Baybeat from More Music and will include those who have attended our workshops, brought their bikes ablaze with colour and anyone else who would like to join us.
• 6:10pm Parade Formation and transfer to Promenade start point.
• 6.15pm Parade Starts.
• 6.45pm Parade Finishes down by The Midland Hotel and our Aqualux installation.
• 6.45pm Samba Espirito drumming band will take over from Baybeat along with their special guests and begin to get you in the groove!
• 7.15-30pm Samba Espirito performance ends.
• 7.20-30pm – People disperse to see the installations and enjoy the event.
