DESCRIPTION:All things seaside!\nSaturday 22nd February\, 6pm\nSaturday night at Baylight will see Marine Road Central transform into a parade of all things seaside! \nBaylight have teamed up with the Inner State Theatre Company to lead the flotilla of homemade boats and Katie Duxbury to bring to Morecambe an array of sea creatures in our illuminated extravaganza in Morecambe Bay. \nThe parade will be operated by a host of familiar Morecambe faces\, from Creations Dance Group\, as well as accompanying beats from music maestros Baybeat and local legends Samba Espirito. \nIf you would like to be part of the parade\, you can join our free lantern and boat making sessions. \n\n\nOn the night\n\n5:30pm Lantern and Boat makers meet outside the Midland Hotel ready to be part of the parade\n5.45pm Parade formation\n6.00pm Parade heads onto Marine Road Central (see route below)\n6.25pm Parade turns at RNLI shop\n6.45pm Parade finishes at The Midland Hotel\n\n\n\nParade Spectators\nFind a spot on the pavement along Marine Road Central between The Midland Hotel and RNLI\nThe route is 1 mile in length and goes out and back so you’ll have 2 opportunities to view the spectacle\nMake some noise! Enjoy the party! Take photos! Selfies and tell us what you think on the socials #baylightmorecambe\nHere are some suggestions and tips for a fun\, enjoyable and safe evening!! \nWrap up warm\nUnder 18s must be accompanied by an adult\nThe parade will impact the car parks along Marine Road Central between 5:30-7:30pm. Please note these times and take note of the signs at entrances when you park. You could consider public transport or using a car park that is not on the parade route.\nPlease listen to the Baylight Staff and Security team in hi-vis on the parade. Their job is to keep everyone safe! \nAfter the parade we encourage you to walk around the art trail with your friends and family and enjoy the local food and drink\, shopping and amusements opening late to coincide with Baylight ’25. \nThank you for being part of our event and bringing your light to the Bay.
